Summer School Day Two - First Tutorials!

It's day two of the summer school! This morning after breakfast, everyone was introduced to their tutors and went to their first tutorials. Students are in groups of up to six and studying an amazing range of topics. Psychology tutor Matt is teaching James, Aisha and Ella on the topic of whether machines can be conscious - from tomorrow they have the exciting opportunity to do their tutorials at the Radcliffe Observatory - a university building dating back to 1773.

Meanwhile, we have English Literature students Sasha and Sehar studying the poetry of Dylan Thomas, Physics students Ashley and Adithya learning about the history of physics at Oxford and Politics students studying EU policy with tutor Martin.

More on tutorials coming soon!

After the work was over, we explored more of Oxford, walking through the beautiful Christchurch Meadows (with A LOT more ice-cream) and visiting some of the colleges.

We had independent study time before dinner (chilli con carne with rice and salad) and then a quiz in University Parks this evenings. We finished the day with cups of tea and card games in the common room.
